Its historic campus and modern facilities foster a vibrant academic environment, making it a hub for students and scholars from all around the world.About the role:The post holder will work alongside internationally renowned King's College London clinicians and scientists to conduct a cohort study in schools in the UK to evaluate changes in behaviours during the school year 2025/26.It is anticipated that many secondary schools will be implementing changes to their smartphone policies during the year and the role of this job is to understand the restrictions, how they were implemented and how effective they were in terms of: a reduction of smartphone time; educational attainment; classroom behaviour; and mental health.This role will involve a mixed methods approach of qualitative and quantitative approaches.This role will be offered on a 4 day work-week for a period of 8 months in the first instance. As the role is part time (80% FTE), the salary listed in this advert will be amended accordingly (pro rata).About you:To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:Essential criteria * A willingness to be flexible to meet the study needs
  • Familiarity with qualitative methods (e.g., focus groups) conduct and analysis
  • Understanding of the fundamental principles of epidemiology
  • Understand and operationalise what PSU is
  • Motivated and self-disciplined
Desirable criteria * Experience and understanding of how to conduct and analyse a focus group
  • Experience (or willingness) in the conduct of cohort studies
  • Experience of working as the technical expert in a multidisciplinary team
