- Attendance at relevant courses
- Any paid/unpaid work in a health or social services/charity setting involving working with families and young children for at least 1 year.
- Experience of developing/delivering advice/training to groups
- Experience of team working
- Experience of working with young children with speech, language and communication needs and families in community settings.
- Experience of working with or alongside speech and language therapists
- Previous experience within the NHS
- Experience of working as a Therapies assistant
- Administrative skills
- Personal experience via family, friends etc. or willingness to learn, in working with children and their families
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Sensitivity and empathy towards clients and their families
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and multitasking abilities
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work.
