Trainee Estimator Job in FerndownDovetail Recruitment are working with a very well-established company in the Ferndown area in looking for a Trainee Estimator to join their expanding department. The successful Trainee Estimator will be trained, and involved in pricing, the preparation of quotations, assisting with securing orders and following the project through until completion.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To produce estimates from drawings and BOQ provided by our clients
  • Working with other estimators and TLS external sales force, to deliver packages on time and to client's expectations
  • Logging enquiries to the database and keeping it up to date
  • Following up on quotations and tracking where they sit in the marketplace
  • Updating costs when variations are required
  • Corresponding with clients, engineers
  • Advising sales staff of changes to projects
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Interest in estimating within the construction industry
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Computer literate and have experience in using and working with Microsoft Office Products.
Salary and Benefits:
  • A salary of £25,000 – £26,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday working hours 37.5 hour per week
  • Office based
  • Progression and development opportunities
