
Sample Administrator

- Receiving and unpacking deliveries of samples throughout the day.
- Responsible for logging samples into LIMS accurately.
- Record receiving temperatures of samples and check samples for deviations.
- Ensure all work requests are accompanied by correct paperwork (chain of custody against quote) and purchase order number.
- Ensure samples are stored in the correct locations in a timely manner.
- Review storage space usage and requirements for upcoming work.
- Liaise with Project Coordination Team to ensure timely disposal of samples.
- Follow procedures to perform basic sample preparation and determination.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to effectively communicate at various levels within organisations.
- An interest in science, preferably with qualifications related to the science field.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment would be desirable.
- Good attention to detail and ability to cope under pressure.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience of working in a laboratory setting would be advantageous.
- Experience of working with a LIMS software programme would be highly desirable.
