- Lead and manage technical design packages, ensuring alignment with project requirements throughout the design lifecycle.
- Provide design guidance and review sub-contractor outputs for compliance with specifications and standards.
- Collaborate across engineering teams and stakeholders to integrate designs and manage facility interfaces.
- Maintain design configuration control, ensuring changes are properly assessed and implemented.
- Experience in designing high integrity lifting equipment and accessories, ideally within a nuclear regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical handling regulations, legislation, and standards, including CDM Principal Designer responsibilities.
- Solid understanding of engineering design and safety practices, tailored to role, discipline, and project needs.
- Leading seismic analysis and substantiation of high-integrity mechanical handling systems to support the nuclear safety case, ensuring robust technical management across the design lifecycle - Desirable
- Providing expert design guidance to subcontractors, with working knowledge of BIM environments, SIL-rated systems, project controls, and company procedures for design, safety, and quality - Desirable
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Chartered Engineer status (IMechE, IMarEST, or IET), or actively working towards accreditation.
