
Quality Controller, Barnsley

- Provide quality leadership and report directly to the Managing Director
- Improve the company's quality function and systems
- Conduct quality assessments on suppliers, raw materials, work in progress, and finished products
- Review client and Royston Lead designs and specifications to understand required quality standards
- Identify defects, conduct FMEA, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain and report daily, weekly, and monthly KPI systems
- Train and coordinate activities of the quality control team
- Prepare comprehensive quality control reports
- Collaborate with production to ensure products meet all standards and specifications
- Supervise all aspects of production to maintain quality
- Ensure employees resolve quality issues while maintaining production where appropriate
- Maintain ISO quality systems
- Support development of employee training programmes
- Ideally an experienced metallurgist or chemist
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
- Proficient in scientific measurement and recording
- IT literate - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Minimum 4 years' manufacturing experience
- Minimum 4 years' quality experience
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking and attention to detail
