Key Responsibilities:
  • To manage the day to day operational management of Finance and associated Admin function
  • To plan and prepare year ends statutory accounts and audits
  • To manage monthly and statutory payroll and pensions administration process
  • Ensure effective purchase ledger and sales ledger procedures are in place and followed
  • To prepare and submit HMRC Returns e.g. payroll, Gift Aid and VAT as necessary
  • To organise and respond to reports from the responsible officer and auditors
  • To manage and improve the financial software used
Main skills to get clearance for this role:
  • Proficiency in MS Office and school management software including SIMS, FMS
  • Experience working in a finance role
  • Eligible to work in the UK (Essential)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
  • Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
