
Deputy Manager - Sustainability Assurance & Governance

2. Work closely with cross-functional teams across the world - Impact team, AtSource, Finance, Human Resources, Sustainability Operations departments and Product Platforms to collect, analyze and validate relevant sustainability data.
3. Work with sustainability metric owners to establish start-to-end reporting process (map reporting criteria, digital systems, accountability, controls and required evidence across sustainability metrics).
4. Support internal governance reviews, establish controls and implement best practices in sustainability data management.
5. Liaise with digital and data teams to strengthen system integration for sustainability reporting.
6. Identify strategic value-added recommendations to Product Platforms and Business Functions to support and strengthen sustainability data collection, governance and assurance.Assurance & Verification Projects1. Coordinate third-party assurance engagements across sustainability metrics.
2. Manage documentation, evidence collection, and tracker updates for ongoing assurance projects.
3. Engage with internal teams and external auditors to ensure timely closure of assurance observations and findings.
4. Work with finance, climate, and impact teams to ensure alignment of data and methodologies with leading frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi, ISSB, ESRS).
5. Support development of internal playbooks and protocols for assurance readiness.
6. Provide support to the Treasury team on sustainability metric's external assurance as required for sustainable financing instruments.
7. Support SBTi validation of Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions for internal reviews and external disclosures.
8. Work closely with Internal Audit to scope and support Sustainability-related audits, risk assessments, and controls testing.Capacity Building & Documentation1. Support creation of training content and guidance tools to build assurance and governance literacy across sustainability teams globally.
2. Maintain centralized documentation for audits, validations, assurance reviews, and board-level reporting.RequirementsYou have strong, relevant experience in sustainability and assurance. You are a strong communicator with the ability to keep people and processes on track.To be considered for this role you must have:
1. Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience: 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in Sustainability Assurance, Sustainability Reporting and Sustainability governance.
3. Strong working knowledge of Sustainability standards and frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi, ISAE 3000, ISSB, ESRS, TNFD).
4. Prior experience working with third-party assurance providers, managing sustainability data governance, or leading GHG/SBTi validation process.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritise tasks across time zones and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
