SEN HLTA – Leeds (LS10)Daily Rate: £90–£120/day | Contract: Full-time, long-term, short-term | Start Date: 2025-26 (Academic year)We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEN setting in South Leeds (LS10). This role is ideal for an HLTA who is passionate about supporting children with a range of additional needs and confident stepping up to lead learning when required.Key responsibilities:Delivering small-group interventions and supporting 1:1 SEN pupilsLeading whole-class sessions when the teacher is absent, using pre-planned lessonsSupporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning needsAdapting resources and strategies to meet individual needsWorking closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to track progressThe ideal candidate will have:HLTA qualification (essential)Previous experience working with children or young people with SENConfidence in leading small groups and covering full classesExcellent behaviour management and communication skillsA positive, resilient and compassionate approach to supporting pupilsWhat’s on offer:£90–£120 per day (paid weekly, dependent on experience)Full-time, ongoing role with potential for permanent placementAccess to SEN-specific CPD and training (Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Safeguarding)Opportunity to progress in SEN education and make a lasting differenceApply now with your up-to-date CV to join a dedicated SEN team in LS10 and help shape positive outcomes for young learners.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
