Join an innovative and growing residential developer known for crafting carefully designed communities in the Midlands. Based in Warwickshire, this Technical Manager role offers oversight of high-quality housing schemes ranging from 2-4 bedroom homes, typically between 50 to 150 units per development, aligning with the calibre of projects currently delivered by leading design-focused developers.You will be responsible for managing up to eight sites, from their early feasibility stage through to completion. The role includes leading a team of Technical Coordinators, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered impeccably both technically and aesthetically.Key Responsibilities of the Technical Manager:
- Manage the full architectural design process across multiple live and upcoming developments.
- Lead on planning submissions, including detailed and reserved matters applications.
- Coordinate with external architects, planning consultants and landscape designers to achieve design intent.
- Ensure all working drawings and technical details meet company standards, Building Regulations and NHBC requirements.
- Review and approve third-party drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with local planning authorities to secure timely approvals.
- Provide ongoing design and technical support to site teams throughout the build programme.
- Mentor and develop Technical Coordinators, ensuring smooth project delivery.
- Experience as a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Coordinator within residential housebuilding.
- Strong architectural background, ideally degree-qualified or with equivalent industry experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple developments from pre-planning through to completion.
- Excellent understanding of planning procedures, Building Regulations, and NHBC standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
