About the RoleWe are looking for a highly organised and proactive Highways Programme Coordinator to join our Highway Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a high-performing project team delivering vital highway maintenance and neighbourhood improvement schemes across Nottingham City.As the Highways Programme Coordinator, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects. You'll support the effective management of projects by providing clear direction, updates, and coordination to colleagues, elected Members, and key stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of highway maintenance and improvement schemes.
  • Act as a central point of contact for project updates and stakeholder engagement.
  • Review project systems and governance, identifying opportunities for service improvement.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and accurate, timely project reporting.
  • Lead on communication and engagement with residents, businesses, and community groups.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to track progress and support effective project management.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong project coordination experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of reviewing and improving processes or systems.
