Location: CoventryWe are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician/Engineer to join a well-established business operating within a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a growing team and play a key role in ensuring site equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably.Duties
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of equipment to minimise downtime.
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring safe and efficient resolutions.
- Working independently and taking accountability for the condition and reliability of production equipment.
- Accurately recording all downtime events, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, and equipment performance.
- Collaborating with colleagues across maintenance and operations to ensure smooth handovers and clear communication.
- Escalating issues when necessary to ensure swift resolution.
- Engineering qualification - Electrical or Mechanical (C&G, NVQ Level 3, ONC or equivalent).
- Solid hands-on experience in maintenance and fault finding within an automated or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems, including motors, bearings, pneumatics, sensors, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure production environment.
- Additional qualifications such as HNC, IOSH, NEBOSH, or HACCP.
- PLC knowledge and experience with inverters/servo motors.
- Welding or fabrication skills.
