Week 3: 8pm - 12.30am
Plus a requirement to work one Sunday a month.About the role:
- Responsible for all on shift Health, Safety, Environmental issues arising including: - Full Safety incident investigation and corrective action implementation. Ensuring all employees understand the need for safe working. Ensure the adherence of site H&S procedures.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing corrective actions for issues arising that affect the successful achievement of departmental KPI as well as specifying process improvements that will enhance operational performance.
- Responsible for representing the department at internal and external customer meetings. Communicate departmental shift issues and performance at team briefs. Attend team board reviews and board walks
- Manage manpower resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements and also Lean Manufacturing principles - including the implementation of CI activity. Drive company Absence Control Procedures to ensure maximum attendance levels. Deal with all personnel issues on shift in line with Company Policy.
- Responsible for Managing the development and maintenance of accurate Standard Work documentation. Continually audit employees against the standard to drive process consistency. Use the process to Coach employees and Team leaders to maintain process standards while driving a zero-tolerance mindset for process deviation.
- Identify departmental training needs using company training process (Training matrix, Gap Analysis etc) to maximize employee versatility. Capture all training with sign off documentation
- Drive Departmental Quality objectives. Carry out and complete full PPS activity and Root Cause Analysis for any Premium Freight, scrap costs or stock losses.
- Assisting production in engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot build.
- Support in the development of concepts for use in formal customer proposals including, but not limited to, process flow diagrams, KPIs and facility layouts in complex cases with support of the Solutions team.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team in setting and driving organisational vision, Operations strategy, and hiring levels.
- Support with the translational strategy, cascading down actionable steps through the business for growth, implementing organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and operations planning.
- Supervise company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organisational goals are met
- Ensure effective onboarding, professional development, and retention
- Two or more years of experience in supervisory roles within a fast paced logistics operation
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Understanding of business planning
- Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
