Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon applicationWe are seeking a skilled Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Ashford, Kent. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start and involves working within a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and CAMHS setting.Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents within a community mental health setting
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of young patients
- Develop and oversee individualised care plans in line with best clinical practice
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and safeguarding protocols
- Participate in case reviews, clinical audits, and service development initiatives
- Full GMC registration
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register (CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry)
- Proven experience in CAMHS and CMHT environments
- Previous experience in a Consultant role within the NHS
