Job Title: Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Ashford, Kent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon applicationWe are seeking a skilled Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Ashford, Kent. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start and involves working within a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and CAMHS setting.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents within a community mental health setting
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of young patients
  • Develop and oversee individualised care plans in line with best clinical practice
  • Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and safeguarding protocols
  • Participate in case reviews, clinical audits, and service development initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
  • Full GMC registration
  • Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register (CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry)
  • Proven experience in CAMHS and CMHT environments
  • Previous experience in a Consultant role within the NHS
