This is an exciting new post, designed to support academic delivery in the School of Health and Social Care at Sheffield Hallam University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching specifically identified subjects and topics relating to healthcare across a range of different courses, including our foundation year program.Your role will include teaching clinical skills, simulation-based sessions, mandatory training, and offers an opportunity to gain experience in delivering teaching through a variety of modes both in specific healthcare disciplines and interprofessional groups.This role involves providing student feedback and support, both in university and in clinical practice.This role will appeal to people who are interested in working within healthcare education and is suitable for new healthcare registrants. You will work as part of a team to contribute positively to the student experience.Main duties of the jobTheSchool of Health and Social Caredelivers a well-established, large and diverse portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and degree apprenticeship courses leading to registration in 14 different professions.These include Nursing (all fields), Midwifery, Social Work, Paramedic Science, Operating Department Practitioner, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Radiotherapy and Oncology, Dietetics and Art Psychotherapy.We support practitioners to continue to develop their professional roles through our extensive continuing professional development portfolio, our graduates working in local, national, and international health and social care sectors.   • Good honors degree (i.e. UK 2.1 or 1st Class) or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development or a commitment to undertake ongoing professional development throughout the duration of your employment.
  • A post graduate teaching qualification (PG Cert or HEA fellowship) or a commitment to undertake a teaching qualification during your employment.
