
Responsible Welding Coordinator

- Verifying that welders are qualified to perform specific welding tasks and that welding procedures are properly documented and followed.
- Ensure compliance with CE marking/UKCA requirements and other relevant regulations.
- Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Oversees day-to-day welding operations, ensuring that all work is performed according to approved procedures and standards.
- Planning and managing complex welding-related work orders.
- Testing welder qualification, ensuring that welders possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Driving continuous improvement in welding processes, seeking ways to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety
- Understanding and applying relevant standards like ISO 3834 or EN 1090 and having the ability to develop and review welding procedure specifications.
- A strong understanding of various welding processes (e.g., MAG, MMA, SAW), as well as the metallurgy of different materials.
- Proficiency in inspecting and testing welds, understanding acceptance/rejection criteria, and managing quality control systems.
- Knowledge of selecting, controlling, and using appropriate welding materials and consumables.
- Understanding non-destructive (NDT) and destructive testing methods used in welding.
- Ability to supervise welding personnel, manage pre-fabrication operations, and understand the requirements of relevant standards.
