Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join their logistics team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the transportation operations, ensuring that goods are shipped and received efficiently. This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Transportation Coordinator will work closely with various departments to optimise logistics processes and enhance overall efficiency.Hours and Salary
  • Monday - Friday, 50 hours per week
  • £30,000 - £35,000
Duties
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations.
  • Taking calls and placing orders on system
  • Dealing with driver issues & assist with daily work logs
  • Utilise transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor delivery schedules.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance data
  • Conduct regular assessments of business processes to identify areas for improvement.
Skills
  • Proficient in shipping and receiving processes with a strong understanding of logistics principles.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Microsoft 365 and preferably Waste Logics
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience in leading teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on optimising business processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with various stakeholders.
