
Business Development Manager, OEM

In this position you will be reporting to General Manager, Business Development & OEM and you will be located preferably in one of the existing Wärtsilä locations globally.What you will be doing:
- Explore and analyse all business opportunities with all global OEM customers, e.g. ways-of-working, tailored offerings, identify opportunities, and make proposals on how to profitably grow the business and/or mitigate risks.
- Develop & implement new business models, strategy and customer plans to grow our OEM business.
- Develop business KPIs (Sales & Service levels) and report on OEM business performance and market trends and risks.
- Act as a conduit between customers and SLS Sites to develop tailor made solutions.
- Lead and manage a team dedicated to supporting OEM customers, including Sales/Account Managers, and a dedicated Sales Support team.
- Build and maintain a relationship of a true partner to our OEM customers.
- Develop customer benefit models and agreements that help to increase collaboration and ultimately, market share and profitability between OEM customers and SLS.
- Gather feedback from OEM customers and share that with those concerned with the SLS business.
- Business / Technical degree or equivalent qualifications as a combination of education and experience
- Experience from working in the Marine Industry
- Knowledge and understanding of SLS and Propulsion portfolio
- Excitement and resilience to build and sustain a new way of working, both internally as well as with customers
- Customer and business orientation with a solid aspiration to deliver value to customer
- Strong capability to build trusting relationships and collaboration, also across cultures and borders
- Ability to successfully lead and influence people in a matrix environment
- Track record of working in the customer frontline
- Strong analytical skills and capability to identify patterns in vast amounts of data
- Fluent in English with relevant additional language skills beneficial
- Excellent communication skills
- A safety-first mind-set
- Willing and able to travel
- OEM business growth and KPIs including (OI, Sales, Margin)
- OEM Service level KPIs (eg. Response times)
- Execution of strategic plans and critical action
