- 1.A degree or equivalent in Nursing (RNLD)
- 1.BTEC in Positive Behavioural Support Level 4 or 5
- 2.The ability to speak Welsh
- 1.Have significant experience and skills in working with people with learning disabilities who display behaviour that challenges
- 1.Must be able to demonstrate situations where effective leadership and management skills have been used to respond effectively to challenging situations involving our service user group
- 2.Must be capable of undertaking assessments of behaviour that challenges and develop creative intervention plans
- 3.Have good organisational skills.
- 4.Must be able to motivate staff and carers, to teach skills and transfer knowledge, and to model appropriate skills and behaviour.
- 5.Must have good presentation skills and be able to use presentation equipment.
- 6.Must be able to communicate effectively with service users, staff and carers and parents, support staff and professional members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- 7.Must understand issues relating to people with learning disabilities and behaviour that challenges and be committed to the principles of ordinary living within community settings.
- 8.Must also be able to articulate the necessity to treat service users and their families with dignity and respect and promote social inclusion.
- 1.Must have the ability to travel within geographical area of BCUHB.
- 2.Must be able to work flexible hours and across different locations.
- 3.Enhanced level DBS is required for this post.
