Are you looking for a role that will help set you up with amazing experience?A fantastic role has recently become available in a highly regarded specialist school in Kidlington.This specialist school in Kidlington look after children who have shown to have social, emotional and mental health needs. Many of these children also have co-existing issues such as sensory, behavioural and learning needs.The school need a Classroom Support Assistant to come in and support their students in their day to day activities.The students that attend this school are between the ages of 5 and 16. Some children have a personalised educational and health care plan and individual intervention plans designed to help them thrive. As a learning support assistant, you will be part of ensuring that they are able to complete their academic work while also helping them navigate through their emotions. You will also play a part in helping them learn functional life skills, helping them be as independent as possible.What you can expect as a Classroom Support Assistant:
  • Deliver specific interventions that have been designed with the student, their needs and goals in mind
  • De-escalate any meltdowns and behaviour that may occur
  • Help the children work through their big emotions
  • Create a safe and engaging learning environment
