- Collaborating with Head Teachers and senior school staff to explore alternatives to permanent exclusion
- Liaising with Pupil Referral Units and other providers to ensure Day 6 provision is in place
- Providing clear, informed guidance to Head Teachers, parents, carers, and school governors on exclusion-related issues
- Reviewing Permanent Exclusion Packs for governor's disciplinary hearing and providing the local authority view
- Attending Independent Reviews when required
- Assisting the Area Inclusion Manager with In Year Fair Access referrals for pupils from Pupil Referral Units and attending the Fair Access Panel when required
- Keeping updated on legislation and guidance related to excluded children and providing accurate advice to schools', families and other agencies
- Attending multi-agency meetings involving schools, professionals, and families to support inclusive education planning
- To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:
- Knowledge of DfE guidance on suspensions, exclusions and behaviour in schools
- Experience working with children and families
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to build strong working relationships with families and professionals
- Experience of working in collaboration with a range of internal and external services
