
Sales Engineer

- Research and develop a confident understanding of your target and competitor market and develop an effective sales strategy
- Undertake a range of sales activities to generate appointments and enquiries with new, existing and lapsed clients
- Visit customers to understand their requirement and provide a suitable solution and build long term relationships
- Produce and follow up competitive quotations
- To develop a full sales strategy
- Lead generation for new business and follow through
- Identify customers' needs and requirements
- Plan and attend calls, meetings, events, exhibitions, presentations & demonstrations
- Ensure you are kept up to date with the products and the market you are working in
- Report and feedback results to management
- Maintain, update and quantify client database
- A proven sales background, preferably in construction, civils projects, plant equipment, portable housing or similar
- Engineering or construction knowledge with the ability to read and interpret drawings
- Excellent experience of researching and developing new leads, targets markets and business
- Be familiar with the full sales cycle and have a proven background in building new business and managing existing customers
- Be happy to travel on a regular basis
- Excellent door opening, negotiation and persuasive skills with the ability to manage pipeline and close sales effectively
- Professional, target driven and has the desire to succeed
- Full driving license essential
