- Perform regular building inspections to identify and address minor repairs or maintenance issues. Where practical, undertake minor repairs yourself.
- Respond to ad hoc maintenance requests across the portfolio from the Head of Facilities Management, ensuring issues are dealt with promptly and professionally.
- Carry out high-quality painting and decorating across a range of central London properties as directed by the Head of Facilities Management.
- Ensure aesthetic integrity and preservation of period features where applicable.
- Assist in arranging access for external contractors and liaising on-site during works.
- Support the Head of Facilities Management in gathering quotes and scoping small works.
- Monitor contractor performance and escalate any concerns.
1. Accurately record and report utility meter readings (electricity, gas, water) for multiple
sites on a regular basis.Additional Duties
- Provide hands-on support for a variety of property maintenance tasks.
- Undertake other responsibilities as directed by the Head of Facilities Management in line with the needs of the business.
- Understand that the role involves liaison with key customers and that you will be the face of our company in such interactions.
- Background in painting and decorating.
- Practical, hands-on approach with general building maintenance experience.
- Comfortable working independently across different sites in Central London.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with tenants and contractors.
- Organised, punctual, and committed to high standards of workmanship.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Experience working with heritage or listed buildings.
- Trade qualification.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and / or electrics / building systems a plus.
