🕗 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
💰 Pay: £13.50 per hourBlue Arrow Derby are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hands-on Caretaker to join a fantastic school in Derby! If you're someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, loves variety and is ready to get stuck in, we want to hear from you!🔧 What you'll be doing:🛠️ General site maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY🚪 Opening and locking the site daily🧼 Cleaning classrooms, dining areas, changing rooms and hallways to a high standard🧽 Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas tidy (grassed and artificial)🪑 Setting up and putting away furniture for lessons and events📦 Recording deliveries and maintaining stock levels of supplies🧯 Fire warden duties including evacuating vulnerable individuals when needed🗂️ Supporting lunchtime service and helping to clean up afterwards👷♂️ Assisting external contractors and managing maintenance works📋 Carrying out compliance checks and logging findings✅ What we're looking for:Previous caretaker, janitor, handyperson or site supervisor experience is helpful (but not essential)
Enhanced Child DBS dated within the last 12 months (or willingness to obtain - we can help!)
Able to lift and carry furniture and equipment
Confident communicator with a can-do attitude
Able to work independently and manage your time effectively
