PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £36,000 - £46,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. Flexible working will be part of the discussion at offer stage.PURPOSE OF THE ROLEAs a Content Producer within the BBC's TV Social Original Production team, you'll be at the forefront of creating innovative and engaging digital content that connects with young audiences. Your work will promote priority BBC iPlayer titles and contribute to making iPlayer the most viewed media brand among 13-34-year-olds.WHY JOIN THE TEAMJoining the TV Social Original Production team means becoming part of one of the media industry's most ambitious and forward-thinking digital content units. You'll collaborate with some of the BBC's most well-known talent as well as emerging content creators, working together to produce distinctive, youth-focused content that resonates across platforms.The award-winning team is responsible for creating engaging social media content for major BBC brands including @BBC, @BBCiPlayer, and @BBCThree. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile campaigns for shows such as The Traitors, RuPaul's Drag Race UK, Gladiators and The Rap Game UK, helping to shape how young audiences discover and connect with BBC programming.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
  • Produce and direct original content shoots, acting as the main creative force on set with the support of a Senior Producer.
  • Develop a variety of social content formats, from multi-camera studio productions to commissioning content creators.
  • Conceive creative ideas and pitch them to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Edit video content using advanced techniques and graphics to elevate production quality.
  • Scout and select locations and conceptualize set designs with the Originals team.
  • Work with a diverse mix of production crew, editors, agents, talent, and show executives to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Deliver campaign assets on time, within budget, and tailored to the tone of each show.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • Strong filming, lighting, and self-shooting skills with experience using broadcast cameras, DSLRs, and iPhones.
  • Proven knowledge of social media and experience producing for various platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects and Photoshop is a plus.
  • Clear communication skills with colleagues, talent, and freelance crew both in studio and on location.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate creative ideas that resonate with youth audiences.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
  • Experience in post-shoot media management and post-production workflows.
  • Awareness of emerging trends and talent in digital media.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in technical production environments. Audio capture and editing skills are particularly desirable.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and creating pitch documents for original concepts.
