As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into classrooms to deliver pre-prepared lessons during teacher absences. The role involves supervising students across various year groups and subjects, maintaining discipline, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning. It’s a dynamic role requiring adaptability, communication skills, and a genuine interest in student development.Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and supervising classrooms during teacher absences.
- Delivering pre-set lesson plans and encouraging students to stay focused.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitoring and recording attendance and behaviour.
- Supporting students’ individual educational needs as required.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistency in learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident and approachable attitude to engage with students.
- Previous experience working with young people, preferably in education.
- Flexibility to adapt to different subjects and classroom environments.
- A proactive approach to supporting students’ progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
