As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into classrooms to deliver pre-prepared lessons during teacher absences. The role involves supervising students across various year groups and subjects, maintaining discipline, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning. It’s a dynamic role requiring adaptability, communication skills, and a genuine interest in student development.Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing and supervising classrooms during teacher absences.
  • Delivering pre-set lesson plans and encouraging students to stay focused.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitoring and recording attendance and behaviour.
  • Supporting students’ individual educational needs as required.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistency in learning.
What You Bring to the Role:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A confident and approachable attitude to engage with students.
  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in education.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different subjects and classroom environments.
