The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patient's referral and appointment bookings. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide support to Senior Sister or Medical Day Unit Nurse-In-charge in proactive management and screening of incoming referrals, booking appointments, sourcing clinical documentation and diagnostic results from internal and external care providers, communicating with members of multi-disciplinary team and patients and ensuring pathways are managed smoothly.The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and referrer's satisfaction by being accessible, customer focused and knowledgeable point of contact. This is a key role in ensuring that all users of the ward are provided with a fast, efficient and effective service, in accordance with trust and ward policy.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be responsible for liaising directly with patients and the referring team.
