This permanent position offers the unique opportunity to work on significant groundworks within the Infrastructure sector.Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and managing the financial aspects of groundworks projects
  • Providing accurate and timely cost advice and cost planning
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to achieve the best prices
  • Ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines
  • Collaborating with the project team and senior management to ensure project objectives are met
  • Performing risk management and value management tasks to mitigate project risks
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in quantity surveying, particularly within infrastructure projects
  • Expertise in groundworks and senior quantity surveying roles
  • Ability to produce detailed cost estimates and manage project budgets
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with the construction industry standards and regulations
  • Competence in preparing NEC contracts, although not essential
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong problem-solving ability
  • Willingness to commute to Milton Keynes regularly, primarily on-site
