You will have to have the resilience and ability to work as part of a small team dedicated to supporting our young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties to help overcome their barriers to learning and instil the skills that they need to succeed.Paid weeks per year: 47.36 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)Start date: As soon as possibleAbout the roleYour role will be:
To work alongside the lead teacher and HLTA within the classroom to supports students with their learning, encouraging pupils to interact with others in the classroom and engage in activities led by the teacher.
To work under the supervision of the lead teacher and senior staff to understand the learning needs of pupils and ensure effective support in across the curriculum.
To support the development and maintenance of resources to assist in teaching.
To monitor progress of named students and provide feedback.
To support individual students and small groups in their learning.
To support students in their mainstream settings.
To take a whole site responsibility for an area of support.
To prepare, develop, maintain and deploy appropriate learning aids, materials and equipment, including ICT, to assist in teaching.
