
Duty Security Manager

- Ensure all personnel under your management have completed the appropriate site training and possess a valid SIA licence or LDN as per industry requirements.
- Accurately roster and forward plan for all direct reporting officers, ensuring sufficient cover for holidays, sickness and absences.
- Maintain positive employee relations by speaking with all staff at least once per month, proactively monitoring performance and implementing coaching, counselling, and investigations as necessary.
- Monitor and manage the appearance and behaviour of all security personnel, taking appropriate remedial action in line with company policy and procedures.
- Actively encourage staff recognition and nominations for awards.
- Report all incidents in compliance with customer and company policies and procedures.
- Assist the branch management team in developing and sharing best practices and using the systems and tools to improve service effectiveness.
- Plan, develop and implement staff training for routine duties and emergency procedures.
- Monitor and report faults with security related equipment correctly.
- Be fully conversant with operations functions, including access control, CCTV, detection and alarm systems ensuring effective monitoring and reporting.
- Participate in company training to improve performance standards.
- Serve as the first point of contact on shift for security related queries, resolving complex issues using experience and knowledge, and referring complaints to the branch management team.
- Assist the branch management team with any reasonable requests.
- Be fully conversant with all fire, emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Have a comprehensive working knowledge of all current security technologies, systems, procedures and supervise the operation.
- Demonstrate understanding and engagement with Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Helpfulness and Vigilance. Whilst showing natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority.
- Must be a UK National
- Must have the ability to be screened to SC clearance standard
- Must have an SIA licence
- CCTV Licence (desirable)
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to assist with any other tasks as directed by the branch management team
