
Director, TMT, Strategy & Business Design

- Client service - acting as a trusted advisor to clients, accountable for delivering a portfolio of projects with excellent and distinctive client service through insightful analytical problem solving and development of high quality strategic recommendations. The Director will be responsible for managing client expectations, leading client meetings and presentations, strategic direction, and deliverable quality;
- Project, quality & risk management - planning and managing a portfolio of complex projects on time and to budget, and considering all risk and quality aspects;
- People & team leadership - leading, managing and coaching teams of junior resources as part of project delivery and within the practice, delegating effectively and providing feedback;
- Relationship management - building networks, peering and collaborating with other Deloitte leaders and teams, to build client accounts and ensure client experience is seamless;
- Business growth - building relationships with existing and new clients and through internal networks, to develop and convert a large pipeline of work through winning proposals both for Strategy & Business Design and for the wider firm; and
- Practice contributions - leading practice development initiatives, sponsoring initiatives and eminence within Strategy & Business Design and the TMT industry.
- Work experience in strategy consulting or undertaking consulting equivalent projects within the TMT industry;
- Depth of knowledge of the TMT industry in the UK and Europe, also ideally in other markets;
- The ability to lead teams to deliver a portfolio complex strategic projects for clients;
- The ability to utilise your personal network to build a business by identifying and pursuing a large portfolio of sales activities;
- The ability to manage business development, practice development and additional aspects of work alongside client delivery, including quality, risk, and practice development initiatives;
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Expertise in at least one sector of the TMT industry (e.g. Telecoms, Media, Technology, Sport, Digital Platform Companies);
- Relevant prospective client network;
- Other relevant qualification (e.g. Masters, MBA, PHd, MSc);and
- Membership of a professional body (e.g. ACA, CIMA, CPA).
