Do you have a passion for helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally? We are looking for a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly, inclusive primary school in the NP12 area. This is a wonderful opportunity to support pupils at a crucial stage in their learning journey.Key Responsibilities:
- Support Year 2 pupils across the full curriculum.
- Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy, either 1:1 or in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, organisation, and resources.
- Encourage a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
- Promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, structured learning space.
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEN specialists to support pupils with additional needs.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Confidence in managing behaviour following school policies.
- Previous primary school experience is desirable but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one).
