Do you have a passion for helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally? We are looking for a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly, inclusive primary school in the NP12 area. This is a wonderful opportunity to support pupils at a crucial stage in their learning journey.🔊 Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Year 2 pupils across the full curriculum.
  • Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy, either 1:1 or in small groups.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, organisation, and resources.
  • Encourage a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, structured learning space.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SEN specialists to support pupils with additional needs.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Confidence in managing behaviour following school policies.
  • Previous primary school experience is desirable but not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one).
