Part Time Practice Nurse with Respiratory preferred and/or DiabetesWe are looking for a committed, motivated Practice Nurse to join our experienced and friendly established expanding nursing team at Redwood House Surgery.You will have a caring nature and a proactive professional manner to provide a high standard of nursing care.Duties will include practice nurse treatment room services and management of chronic health conditions working from a large Nurse Room.We look after and appreciate our Nursing team, you are further supported by the GPs and experienced admin and reception team.Respiratory/ Diabetes qualification would be desirable but not essential.CQC rated Good JUNE 2021www.redwoodhousesurgery.co.ukMain duties of the jobManagement of Respiratory conditions including Asthma and COPD.Management of Diabetic patients if qualified; however, training will be supported for the right candidate in areas of personal interest for development.The role involves meeting the nursing needs of the patients, to include wound care, dressings, leg ulcer care, ear syringing, ECGs, phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, childhood and adult immunisations including Depo-Provera, INR, assisting GPs in family planning, cervical cytology, asthma and COPD clinics and travel health planning services.Other responsibilities include keeping accurate records, working within agreed guidelines including Infection control, , appropriate administrative tasks, attendance and participation in practice and team meetings, as appropriate and carrying out additional clinical activitiesAdhere to Practice guidelines, policies and procedures and infection control standards.Ensure that organisational goals are reflected in own and the nursing teams objectives. Continue to develop professional and attend training courses and meetings.Contribute to the development of the Practice policies and strategies, where appropriate.Maintain own professional and personal development in accordance with the NMC Code standards and professional guidelinesThis role will also require you to work as part of the whole practice team and will include covering work for colleague absence.About usRedwood House Surgery is a well organised, high achieving 2 Partner practice with 6,250 patients providing dedicated caring clinical services.
