Rutherford Briant, we’re supporting a well-established organisation near Chelmsford known for its strong finance leadership and commitment to continuous improvement. They’re seeking a Finance Manager - Reporting & Controls to lead core financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant reporting across the group.As a Finance Manager –you will:
  • Lead the transactional teams, setting objectives and monitoring performance
  • Oversee VAT, Duty, and IFRS16 reconciliations and compliance
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and Fixed Asset schedules
  • Support timely month-end and year-end close, including audit preparation
  • Deliver P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost centre reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering activities
  • Prepare statutory accounts, tax packs, and liaise with auditors
  • Drive process improvements and support wider finance projects
As a Finance Manager, you will need…
  • ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualification
  • Proven finance team management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge (statutory accounts, IFRS)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
