The Rame Group Practice is a practice that is thriving in what for others have been difficult times. We think outside the box. We have been running academic and commercial research for many years and have a strong international reputation for our work. We also run the dermatology service for Southeast Cornwall. Our GPs have opportunities you will not find elsewhere.We are looking to recruit a permanent Salaried GP to join our friendly and forward thinking team working 6 sessions a week.Main duties of the jobTo work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care:
  • Covering regular 10 or 15 minutes pre booked GP Appointments
  • Same day urgent appointments
  • Cover on-call/triage duties
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient consultations using appropriate AI and clinical software
  • Developing care plans for health in consultatoin wit patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
  • Review Pathology Results
  • Carry out home visits
  • Engage in clinical meetings
  • Support the education and supervision of medical students
  • Engage in monthly clinical meetings
  • Assist in clinical audits

We are also supported by a pharmacy team comprising Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and Physio team all serving 12,000 patients.The clinical team is underpinned by a highly skilled and efficient administrative team that ensures the seamless operation of the practice. Together, our multidisciplinary team is committed to providing outstanding care and continually improving health outcomes for the communities we serve.We have a thriving and growing dermatology service as well as a busy award-winning clinical trials team which is also expanding. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
  • The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
  • The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
  • Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
  • Effective management of long-term conditions
  • Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
  • Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
  • Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required
  • Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
  • Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required

In addition to the primary responsibilities, the salaried GP may be requested to:
  • Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit lead
  • Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
  • Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events applying a structured approach i.e. root cause analysis (RCA)
