Job DescriptionA newly created, senior leadership role is now available for a passionate, analytical, and customer-focused professional to take ownership of network performance and optimisation across a fast paced retail operation. This is a high-impact position, driving supply chain excellence across both high street and online channels, with influence spanning short-term performance gains through to long-term innovation and strategic growth.This field based operational role will involve close collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure the supply chain is agile, cost-effective, and capable of supporting ambitious growth plans.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Optimisation & Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for supply chain network optimisation.
Deliver measurable improvements in cost, quality, and speed.
Align network design with strategic business objectives and growth plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Procurement, Operations, Logistics, IT, and other teams to identify and deliver performance improvements.
Facilitate workshops and reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Support strategic decision-making through supply chain capabilities.
Innovation & Automation
Introduce automation and digital tools across systems, transport, and warehousing.
Monitor industry trends and integrate best practices.
Model multiple network scenarios to optimise capacity, service, and cost.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Establish and monitor KPIs to track network performance.
Deliver clear insights and updates to senior leadership.
Identify and resolve operational issues through in-depth analysis.
Scalability & Growth Enablement
Build a resilient and scalable network capable of meeting future demand.
Develop capacity and capability plans to support strategic growth.
Embed robust processes to sustain long-term performance.
What We're Looking ForEssential Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
5-10 years in supply chain network performance or planning leadership roles.
Experience in retail and omnichannel environments, ideally including FMCG.
Strong knowledge of network optimisation, planning, inventory, and execution.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office Suite skills.
Essential Skills
Excellent organisational and governance skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Confident communicator and presenter at executive level.
High-energy self-starter with a collaborative and hands-on approach.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders.
Experience managing retail-specific challenges such as seasonal peaks and promotional cycles.
Desirable
Demonstrated results in cost, quality, and speed improvements.
Financial and P&L management experience.
Familiarity with tools such as Supply Chain Guru, Data Guru, SAP APO/IBP.
