As a Production Operative, you will be an integral team member in the manufacturing of moisture resistant primed and wrapped MDF moulding in order to meet the demands of the construction and home improvement industries and striving to achieve optimum levels of machine efficiency, output and product quality.The role will predominantly be fork truck operations, but the successful applicant may be required to carry out several duties across production. The successful applicant will receive internal and external fork truck training.Positions4 x Weekend shift - Friday to Saturday 7-18:30, Sunday 7-16:00 (29.3 hours excluding break times)About the roleReporting to the Manufacturing Cell Leader, you will be responsible for: -All stores duties according to company procedures.Loading/unloading SAM production lines with materials.Unloading and storing raw material.Loading beam saws.Removing packs from the paint line.Replenish stock levels with department.Transfer goods to the packing line.Transfer finished goods from packing line.Loading/unloading materials from Lorries.Load onto lorries for despatch according to company procedure (Skill Level 3).Complete documentation neatly and efficiently and use a computerised stock system.Following a schedule, maintain a safe, neat and tidy working area.Achieving quality standards and time limits set.Compliance of the SAM policies and procedures.Take part in meetings/teams/projects as required.Carry out all other duties as required.To be successful you must:-Be able to communicate in English to understand work instructions and Health & Safety rules.Have basic numeracy skills.Desirable criteria:Previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment.Previous experience operating a fork truck.Experience following a production schedule.Why work for SAM Mouldings?Quarterly Profit Share Bonus (average bonus over the last 3 years has been an additional 15% of salary/annual earnings)Total customer satisfaction bonus to a maximum amount of £800 per year - assuming no quality mistakes occur.Free money back via Westfield health care scheme (available after 6 months service)Death in service cover = £20,0005.6 weeks holiday. 3 extra loyalty days can be accrued which is linked to serviceAuto enrolment on Day 1 to the SAM Pension scheme (ER contribute 4%)Participants of the Work Well Live Well programme through which we carry out numerous wellbeing initiatives each yearAnnual team vote for company charity partner and regular team fundraising activitiesMonthly company value awardsBright idea awardsHoliday treatsService AwardsAbout the companySAM is the home of MDF mouldings, trusted to provide a reliable and personal service - sustainably manufacturing and delivering the finest quality and widest range on time every time.Required Criteria
