Bursted Wood Surgery in Barnehurst (London Borough of Bexley) is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic salaried GP. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to work four to six sessions a week within a growing, dynamic, forward thinking, friendly and supportive team.We are offering £11K - £11.5K per session and welcome applications from both experienced and recently qualified GPs. Applicants must be willing to work across two sites (located within half a mile of each other).Informal visits are encouraged, please contact us directly if you wish to chat about the role or visit before applying.Main duties of the jobTo manage patient caseload for both acute and chronic problems, ensuring high standards of care for all patientsConduct surgery consultations, telephone consultations and home visitsMake autonomous decisions, assess healthcare needs, and screen for disease risk factorsTo provide on-call duties as part of a GP rotaComplete all relevant patient admin in a timely mannerComply with policies, ensuring lifelong learning, contribute to audits and clinical standardsCommunicate with team members, patients and carers in a clear and consistent wayAbout usBursted Wood Surgery is an expanding two partner APMS practice with a patient population of 6,000.In April 2026, Bursted Wood Surgery will be amalgamated with the Lyndhurst Medical Centre, another local PMS practice based in Barnehurst. The total patient population will be 19,000 and the new practice will work across the current two sites. Both practices come in the top 10 in the 2025 patient survey for overall satisfaction within the Bexley Borough.We have a fantastic multi-disciplinary team including Salaried GPs, Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists, Home Visiting Paramedic, HCAs and a good established support and reception team in place. We are a member of an innovative high performing Primary Care Network (APL Bexley PCN) with four other local practices.We are a friendly practice who highly values both our patients and staff.
