We are delighted to be working in partnership with this global manufacturer who supply leading retailers throughout the world.This family-owned business has been established for 50 years and enjoy a very family orientated can do culture where everyone works very closely together to provide the highest quality of customer service throughout the business.The RoleThe Learning and Development Manager role is critical to the success of the business, developing L&D learning strategies and methodologies to improve production functions, upskilling and designing, developing learning initiatives and strategy, implementing learning paths and delivering training for all levels throughout the business, being really hands on and flexible, creating and developing L&D policies which align to business goals.Managing training programmes for all the UK based employees, conducting, and maintaining an effective skills gap analysis to identify development needs.Identifying internal and external training delivery requirements including new equipment or systems training.Working closely with the HR Support Manager, HR Business Partner and Department Manager to establish and plan learning objectives.Providing support on the education of all EDI initiatives for the UK and overseeing, supporting and tracking training for associates within the Ops/Warehouse team.Maintaining and continuously improving training processes and records. Regularly providing L&D data.Managing learning and development costs and budgets and, managing records for audit purposes and participate in audits as required.Proactively keeping abreast of new initiatives which may be relevant to the business and be aware of funding opportunities and maintaining and developing a resources library which may include, books, DVD’s, computer based training, simulations etc ensuring there is a simple process by which they can be shared with/accessed by colleagues.The PersonYou will hold a CIPD L 5 L&D qualification and have a min of 2 years’ experience within an L&D role preferably within an FMCG environment. You will be fully conversant with LMS systems and have experience in the design, creation, and management of digital learning experiences.
