A Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator is required for an internationally trading steel company based in the Halesowen area.If you have experience within the steel industry this steel operative / overhead crane operator position could be ideal for you. You will be responsible for banding up, operating cranes and driving counterbalance forklift trucks, amongst other duties.Duties include;
  • Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
  • Driving counterbalance forklift trucks
  • Loading and unloading coils onto machine lines
  • Working on the back end of processing lines, e.g. Slitters
  • Banding up of processed steel
This Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator position is working days for the first few weeks but then moving onto mornings / afternoons rotating weekly, so you MUST be flexible to work the shifts.
  • Working mornings / afternoons: 6:00am - 2.00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Paying £14.17 per hour + bonuses
  • Multiple bonuses paid weekly, see below.
