Materials Planner£33k - £38k per annumMonday – Friday / DaysWrexhamWe are looking for a Materials Planner to join our client’s team based in Wrexham on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, this highly demanding role requires the successful candidate to be assertive and have a high degree of self-motivation.Performance Objectives· Day to day management of supplier schedules within a portfolio of suppliers ensuring continuity of materials supply which include long lead time supply chains from India and China.· Daily liaison with suppliers and managing supplier adherence to schedules.· Ensuring all exceptions and arrears are actioned in a timely manner and reported daily.· Measuring and reporting supplier conformance.· Controlling inventory levels to target levels.· Analysing stock discrepancies to determine root causes and liaising with other departments including engineering and production.· Communicate internally to the operations leadership team daily on any potential shortage of material required for production.· Set and maintain planning parameters and adequate levels of safety stocks.· Co-ordinating inbound supplier logistics both UK and India.Person Specification· The successful candidate will have extensive experience working as a materials planner previously and of stock optimisation.· Previous SAP knowledge is preferred alongside strong computer literacy.· This is a fast-moving role so you will need to be resilient and have a strong sense of urgency to succeed within this challenging but rewarding role.· The role will be joining an established team and therefore you will need to fit into this whilst bring new ideas, ambition and drive.Benefits· Company pension scheme· Support with career progression and development· Company pension scheme· Medical insurance and dental care schemes· Access to the company’s healthy living centre· Access to company reward hub· 33 days annual leaveTo apply please call gap personnel Wrexham branch on 01978 366666 alternatively, send your CV togap personnel group is committed to the selection, recruitment and development of the best people, basing judgments solely on suitability for the job.
