As the Building Surveyor, you will play a hands-on role across both project and professional surveying work, with duties ranging from producing specifications and tender documentation to contract administration and defect diagnosis.You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with clients, stakeholders, and contractors while being supported by senior colleagues in delivering first-class consultancy services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing planning and building regulations applications, supporting party wall matters, and conducting stock condition surveys and inspections.The Successful Building Surveyor Will HaveQualifications and Experience:Degree in Building Surveying or related disciplineStrong knowledge of materials and construction methodsExperience preparing specifications, schedules of works, and tender documentationSolid understanding of JCT contracts and acting as contract administratorFamiliarity with planning and building regulations approval processesProven track record in undertaking site inspections and producing technical reportsParty Wall experience would be beneficialFull UK Driving LicenceKey Competencies:High level of attention to detailStrong communication and client engagement skillsProactive and solution-oriented mindsetAble to manage time and priorities independentlyConfident in stakeholder meetings and project managementIn Return?£50,000 – £60,000Discretionary bonusPension schemePrivate healthcareGym membershipCPD, training, and support for career progression25 days annual leave + Christmas period shutdown (discretionary)Flexible and collaborative working environmentIf you’re a Building Surveyor looking to work with a progressive consultancy and make a meaningful impact, please contact Chris van Aurich at Brandon James.
