- Placement design including likely pricing, coverage enhancements and market capacity.
- Negotiating the best prices and marketing drawing on existing knowledge and expertise.
- On-going client satisfaction, retention, and profitability.
- Developing and delivering new reinsurance opportunities and increasing revenue with existing clients.
- Leading Client Team(s) and project groups to deliver strategic growth initiatives, responses to competitive tenders and complex, high value deals.
- Serving as a trusted advisor for subject matter specific issues both internally and externally.
- Reviewing and quality checking reinsurance documentation at a pre-determined stage in the process to establish whether the selected coverage accurately reflects clients' reinsurance requirements.
- Extensive experience in reinsurance broking or technical and analytical underwriting experience including project and account management experience on large Construction accounts and large / mega onshore construction projects.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Inspires commitment and action in others (both internally and externally) through strong communication skills.
- Considers the underwriter’s perspective to adapt broking approach
- Invests time and resource in Research & Development to find new opportunities/solutions to meet clients’ needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
