- CCT or equivalent in GA Psychiatry
- Relevant Higher Degree e.g., MD, PhD, MSc or other additional clinical qualifications
- Full GMC Registration and licence
- Eligibility for Section 12 and AC Approval
- Inclusion (or eligibility for inclusion) on the Specialist Register or Specialty Trainee within 6 months of gaining CCT
- Section 12/AC Approval
- Trainer Training to enable clinical and/or supervision of trainees
- Evidence of teaching experience at post-graduate and/or under-graduate level
- Specific evidence of organising teaching or medical education programmes
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Experience of carrying out an audit project
- Experience or involvement in a research project and publication
- Knowledge of UK Hospital Systems (or equivalent) Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Previous experience of taking a leadership role in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage own time, workload and prioritise clinical work.
- Ability to use IT, including e-mail and the internet
- Knowledge of risk management.
- Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
- Evidence of specific achievements that demonstrate leadership skills
