
Group Systems Accountant

- Provide Support and Training: Offer day-to-day assistance and training to system users to ensure they can effectively utilize our financial systems.
- Ensure Timely Reporting: Oversee the monthly collection and reporting of data, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
- Drive Performance Improvement: Use comprehensive data and analytical tools to help Group Finance and the wider business achieve strategic goals and enhance performance.
- Support System Integration: Assist with Group Consolidation, reporting, and system integration, ensuring robust and accurate data management.
- Enhance Data Architecture: Maintain and manage data architecture to ensure reliable management information and a single source of truth.
- Champion Change: Contribute to developing change control processes and support frameworks to align with internal and external standards.
- Develop SAP-FC: Help in specifying and refining SAP Financial Consolidation (SAP-FC) and reporting tools, including data model changes and user acceptance testing.
- Produce Reports: Support the generation and delivery of reports to FP&A, divisional accounting teams, and Group stakeholders according to schedules.
- Foster Continuous Improvement: Challenge existing processes and drive constant enhancements to our group processes.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert: Develop deep expertise in consolidation and analytics.
- Systems Accounting experience preferred
- Experience with SAP FC would be very useful however application training will be provided.
- Prior experience with other financial systems considered; ideally within an EPM tool such as SAP HANA, TM1, SAP BPC, HFM, OneStream, Tagetik
- Systems analyst skills and a solid understanding of database design and structures
- Practical experience in financial reporting & accounting principles
- Comfortable with large, complex sets of data
- Analytical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to absorb and summarise complex information
- IT confident with experience of several systems, i.e. advanced user of MS Excel, SAP, report writing tools, Oracle, MS PowerBI
- Candidates with experience in a financial / GL system would also be advantageous
- Experienced with working with stakeholders at varied business levels
