- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based diabetes care for people with diabetes and healthcare professionals within the Bromley
- Work as a highly-skilled independent practitioner implementing and recommending treatment based on expert clinical
- Provide comprehensive evidence-based highly specialist clinical care, training, and consultancy to both people with diabetes and other professionals. Providing advice, support, and education to GP Practices, and providing care in a range of settings including the diabetes centre, patient's homes, and nursing homes.
- Contributes to the development of diabetes services across provider boundaries
- Registered Nurse, RGN/RN (Adult).
- Diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent experience
- Nurse Prescriber.
- Teaching experience.
- Post registration Diabetes Qualification.
- MSc in relevant topic.
- Teaching qualification.
- DAFNE qualification
- DESMOND or similar trained
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development with post registration training/experience in diabetes.
- Car Driver who has access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Committed to improving services.
- Able to work individually and as part of a multi- disciplinary team.
- Flexible approach to meeting service & client needs.
- Motivated and enthusiastic
- Computer literate, confident in word and e-mail.
- Substantial post registration to include specialist diabetes experience.
- Experience in developing and/or delivering teaching programmes.
- Significant previous experience as a Diabetes Nurse.
- Experience of working in community, primary care settings.
- Registered Nurse, RGN/RN (Adult).
