Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - MacclesfieldAre you an experienced and confident Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? Academics is currently recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support primary schools in Macclesfield and the surrounding areas for the new academic year.This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified HLTAs or experienced TAs ready to take on more responsibility. You'll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, covering lessons, and helping pupils reach their full potential across the primary age range.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Support teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment as required
  • Deliver targeted interventions and small group sessions to raise attainment
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and support teams to meet pupils' needs
  • Provide accurate feedback on pupil progress to teachers and school leaders
Role Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification or significant TA experience with confidence leading whole-class learning
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom management techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Right to work in the UK
