Job Title: High Level Teaching Assistant (SEN Complex)Contract type: Full Time - Long termLocation: Didsbury - ManchesterStart Date: SeptemberOur SEN Complex School in South Manchester is seeking an exceptional High Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding support and learning experiences to a number of students and teachers. HLTA is responsible for ensuring all classes are resourced accordingly by making sure compliance is up to date. Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver planned learning activities for individuals, small groups, and occasionally whole classes.
  • Ensuring correct processes and training are in place to establish a secure and safe environment for students.
  • Working collaboratively with Teachers to manage preparation of learning materials.
  • Support in fulfilling KPI's
Requirements:
  • HLTA Status (preferred)
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma (essential)
  • Significant and recent experience working with SEN Complex needs pupils aged 4 - 19
  • Experience supporting students with complex needs including PMLD, MSI, Sensory Impairment and ASC
  • GCSE English and Maths grade c and above
  • Strong communication and written skills as well as communication strategies for non-verbal students
  • Can work as part of a multidisciplinary team or individually
  • Experienced in working with students with a variety of physical abilities in a range of settings - classroom, gym, swimming pools etc.
  • Right to work in the UK and a valid enhanced children and adults DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
